Free weekly crew timesheet
A weekly timesheet for a whole crew on one page: a row for each crew member, a column for each day's hours, and columns for regular, overtime and total hours. The foreman fills it in daily and signs it at the end of the week. Print it, save it as a PDF, or download a CSV for Excel.

Weekly crew timesheet
| Crew member | Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Sun | Regular | Overtime | Total |

Enter each day's hours worked in decimals (7.5 = 7 h 30 min). Overtime: hours over 40 in the week (and over 8 in a day where state law requires). Foreman signature: ____________________
How to fill in a crew timesheet
- List every crew member down the left.
- Each day, write the hours each person worked in decimal hours — 7.5, not 7:30.
- At the end of the week, add each row. Hours over 40 go in the overtime column.
- The foreman signs it and hands it to payroll.
Overtime on a crew timesheet
Under federal law, hours over 40 in a workweek are overtime at 1.5×. In California, hours over 8 in a day are overtime too. Example: a crew member who works 10, 10, 10, 10 and 6 hours has 46 total — 40 regular and 6 overtime under the federal rule. Under California's daily rule, the four 10-hour days add 8 overtime hours, and the 6-hour day makes 38 regular hours, so it's 38 regular and 8 overtime. Check your math with the overtime calculator or the California overtime calculator.
The problem with filling it in at the end of the day
A foreman writing hours from memory at 5 PM — or on Friday for the whole week — rounds, guesses and forgets who left early. Every guess is either a wage claim waiting to happen or money paid for time nobody worked.
Frequently asked questions
Can one timesheet cover a whole crew?
Yes. A crew timesheet has a row per person and a column per day, so a foreman can record the whole crew on one sheet. Each person's daily and weekly hours still need to be accurate for payroll and overtime.
Should hours be written in decimals or hours and minutes?
Decimals, for payroll: 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5. If you write 7:30, convert it before multiplying by the pay rate — the minutes to decimal chart helps.
